The initial consultation (usually 50 minutes in length) is a chance for us to chat about your goals, hopes, and expectations of counseling. This is also a chance for us to ask each other questions, and to see if we are a good fit. If, for any reason, either of us feel as if this would not be a beneficial therapeutic relationship, I would be more than happy to refer you out to local counselors who would better meet your needs.
Individual therapy allows us to work together in order to reach your therapeutic goals and to give you a more positive and productive outlook, overall. Sessions usually last between 45-50 minutes. While some clients benefit from weekly sessions, others come bi-weekly or on an “as-needed” basis.
Group therapy provides an opportunity to be a part of a community of peers whom are reaching to achieve the similar goals. Group sessions last 1 hour, occur weekly, and last anywhere from 6-10 weeks based on the topic and the energy around sessions. As groups are formed based on current needs, they may not be running during certain times. Please contact me for more information.
